What changed

You can now upload Windows .ani files as your custom cursor! We'll grab the first frame so it looks just right on your profile :)

You now have the option to select a video but muted so that it bypasses our slider entrance.

We're introducing profile switchers so that you can more easily manage different accounts you may use Frost for. (i.e personal and business)

You can switch accounts on the dashboard page at any time on the top right corner.

We've reworked every profile filter to hold up on any page, light, dark, photo, or shader. Presets now work like color grades, so grain reads as grain instead of haze on white or snow on black.

New presets: Film (warm stock), Fade (matte print), Dusk (warm-to-violet), and Cinema (warm middle, teal edges). Static is now called Grain, and Frost, Noir, CRT and VHS stuck around with some toning down.

Also - the Danger Zone moved to the bottom of the Profile tab in settings, with a cleaner in-place layout

Also - the dashboard got tidier: sign out lives in the top-right corner, Quests took Help's spot on the hub, and the page loads as one smooth sequence

Also - badge tooltips and the Discord username pill now share a frosted glass look :)

When you paste your profile inside of Discord or other platforms, you will get a preview of your profile inside the image!

Premium is now lifetime for $5.

Base storage drops from 15GB to 5GB. Premium bumps you back to 15GB, and you can add 5GB blocks for $5 each, up to 50GB.

Also new: a few new background shaders, and a cat cursor pet you can find in effects.

These changes should make Premium a lot easier to try out for all :)

We're introducing account management.

When you look at your dashboard, if you look at the bottom right, you can see a danger zone where you can factory reset, delete, or do other actions for your account.

You can now customize your embed looks from your uploaded files when attached in Discord. See the files tab for more.

Fixed the “Finish your page” setup checklist being clipped or difficult to scroll on some mobile browsers.

You can now pull your Discord profile back over to frost.rip whenever you want! Head to Settings and hit "Sync from Discord" to bring your display name, username, and avatar across in one click.

Setting up a new page? You can now sync straight from Discord while you build it, so your name and avatar are already filled in before you sign in.

Every social icon is now served from frost.rip itself, so they load faster and stop popping in late. This also fixes the LinkedIn icon showing as a blank gap.

The home page has been refreshed with redesigned cards, resized icons, and rewritten copy.

- Added a search inside the edit panel so you can jump to what you want faster. See it in the top left corner, or hit (CTRL+K)

Introducing file & video uploads!

Upload anything to your profile: screenshots, clips, PDFs. You get a clean frost.rip/you/file.png link that looks right when you paste it in Discord. 15GB per account, 100MB per file.

- Images and video get compressed automatically, so your links load fast.

- Make a file private, or turn off its download button.

- See how many views and downloads each file got.

- Anything you share is checked for disallowed content first, and there's a report button on every public file.

ShareX support

Screenshot straight to your profile. Head to your files page, hit "Upload from ShareX", create a key, and import the config into ShareX. Your captures land in your library with the link already on your clipboard. Deletion links come built in.

ShareX uploads are capped at 4MB, so screen recordings still go through the dashboard.

Fixed a bug where audio sometimes wouldn't play on profiles when slowly sliding the slider.

Fixed a bug where sometimes app specific browsers (like TikTok or Discord) were hindering background videos / shaders.

Cleared up how audio is played inside the dashboard preview (thanks to Mristrim for this one!)

Video uploads are now capped at 100MB (down from 200MB), 1080p / 60fps, and 60 seconds. Compression is visually lossless so smaller files load faster, especially on mobile networks, without a visible quality hit.

Other various behind-the-scenes performance / stability improvements.

We've added Audio Visualizers! You can now add them to your profile as a bar or around your profile picture!

You can find them at the bottom of the appearance tab.

We also did some housekeeping polishing our UI.

You can now choose from eight different link button styles in settings, including glass, filled, outline, gradient, neon and more. The style picker has been redesigned so it is easier to preview each look before you pick one, and button text now stays readable even on light accent colors.

Profile bios now support simple markdown. You can use bold, italic, strikethrough, inline code and links right inside your bio. There is a short markdown guide linked from the settings page if you want a quick reference.

Profiles can now show badges under your name, such as beta and developer, and you can turn them on or off whenever you like. We also restyled the activity status so it is easier to read at a glance.

There are more name effects to choose from, and you can now set your browser tab title to either stay still or animate with a typing effect.

Analytics got a couple of useful additions. A new Traffic Sources panel shows where your visitors are coming from, like Instagram, TikTok, X, Discord and others. We also added a Click Rate stat so you can see how often profile views turn into link clicks.

We also made a handful of smaller improvements. Link group headers now use your accent color, the last link in a grid row stretches to fill the space, the claim prompt is now a compact toast, and profiles with no audio skip the entry screen. On top of that we fixed a volume issue when loading profiles with sound and cleaned up the shader picker.

We refreshed the homepage with a more product-focused hero, cleaner feature sections, and better entry points into the app.

Profile previews now handle profile pictures more reliably, including improved avatar syncing from Discord when users sign in.

Now Playing and Discord presence details have been polished for better contrast and readability, with a mobile overflow fix for the new homepage layout.

We've added custom font uploads! You can upload and store up to 5 custom fonts to use across your profile.

We've released a set of backend tweaks to make the experience smoother for video and audio playback on your page.

It was previously very confusing to update / add links, so we've redesigned the link page to give you a better time.

- Added profile picture cropping!

- Drag & Drop is now available on PC for uploading videos, images & audios.

- Added a toggle below the avatar shape's for the glow around your profile picture, as some people may not find it aesthetically pleasing.

On desktop, hovering on a Discord social icon would show the username, but on mobile, the name wouldn't show up because there's no mouse to hover with on mobile. This has been fixed so when you tap a discord social icon, the username shows briefly.

Previously, trying to differentiate between how to add your Discord username vs a server invite was confusing. We've simplified this so that you can now select if you're adding your username or a server invite!

We've rearranged the dashboard to give you a search feature to help you better navigate frost.rip. You can try it out by heading to your dashboard, and looking at the bottom for the spyglass!

You can now also choose to use your uploaded audio's with a video that already has audio if you prefer! This is helpful in cases where the video you choose might not have an audio, but you want to use your custom ones!

Bonus - we've added Times New Roman as a font option by popular demand.

We shipped a round of behind-the-scenes improvements to make frost.rip feel faster and smoother:

The colors for Dark Veil were being incorrectly translated from your accent color. This has been fixed.

Previously, if you changed your profile, then signed back in via Discord, your profile picture would be overridden by your Discord one.

This has been fixed so that your profile picture will only be set on a first time signup.

We're bringing onboarding to frost to better guide new users on how to customize and make their profile!

We've seen a lot of questions on how to customize certain things, so we hope this helps :)

- Fixed an issue where some icons weren't loading

- Your bio color now changes the color of the social icons on the top

- The views counter on your page is now colored by your bio color.

- Previously, when you added a social link with a title, it would render as a icon only with no title. Titles are now optional for any social link options.

- Previously when you trimmed an audio and pressed play, it wouldn't resume from the in point. This has been fixed

In some instances on integrated browsers on TikTok or other similar platforms, sliding to drag to enter a profile would try and take you back to the page.

This was fixed by switching to a vertical slider

Previously, when a status was displayed on your page, it would affect the width of the buttons and sometimes not be centered. This issue has been fixed so that buttons no longer get stretched, and your activities remain centered.
